Berkeley Bowl
I found a new favorite spot for cheap and delicious produce, but soon realized the not so glamorus life of a girl, her bike, and her backpack bursting at the seams with french bread baguettes slipping out the top. My shoulders are still aching, both from the weight of the bags AND the rough and pinching straps on the backpack. I felt like a mongoose in a china shop at this place with my bike helmet whipping every 4’ tall old lady in the gobble. The aisles were seriously like 3 feet wide, and it was PACKED at 3pm on a Wednesday. I hurried myself through my list avoiding all distractions like the organic bok choy, and chocolate covered espresso beans prices at only 1.99/lb!! (i know~!) Feeding 20 people requires a lot of produce, more produce than I can apparently shlep on my back/bike, luckily I made it home alive.
